Data Asset Operations and Management Project for a Leading Bank
The client has completed the construction of a data warehouse and big data platform, and initiated data governance efforts. However, they encountered the following challenges:
Weak integration between data assets and business users;
Lack of visibility into data asset usage;
Inability to respond quickly to data asset service demands.
Conducted a comprehensive inventory of data assets across the bank and built a data operations framework based on five pillars:
Data Asset Content Services
Data Interface Services
Data Operations Analytics
Asset Consumption Monitoring
Data Asset Mapping
This framework enhances data consistency, timeliness, and service efficiency while lowering the barrier to data access. It focuses on elevating user experience through “service” and unlocking asset value through “operations.”
Bridged the gap between data asset management and data operations.
Enabled a closed-loop integration between data services and operations.
Established a centralized data asset catalog through systematic asset consolidation.
Centralized management of all enterprise-wide API interfaces via data interface services.
Implemented closed-loop lifecycle management—including asset registration, usage monitoring, and demand fulfillment—through the data asset operations platform.
