Amid rapid IT advancements and the acceleration of digital transformation in finance, financial institutions face both opportunities and challenges in system and service upgrades. Nor can they meet the industry’s growing demand for homegrown innovation. High performance, low cost, elastic scalability, and agile delivery through distributed architecture have become imperative for banking IT reform.
With the banking sector rapidly adopting domestically-developed distributed architectures, one leading bank—whose legacy core systems had been in operation for over a decade—embarked on a new generation of teller system development. To enhance self-controlled security, the core system entered a new construction cycle.
Migrated from a centralized architecture to a fully distributed architecture.
Built extensible applications based on a microkernel model centered on account, product, pricing, and accounting components.
Adopted a full stack of domestic infrastructure along with self-developed distributed technology components.
Developed a high-standard, efficient, flexible, and cutting-edge platform to rapidly deliver current projects and accommodate future scalability and evolution.
1.The newly built platform significantly enhanced the integration capabilities of the distributed microservices architecture:
Implemented service governance at the access layer;
Established a distributed service framework with integrated messaging and batch processing at the service layer;
Built foundational DevOps capabilities to support continuous integration and deployment of distributed applications—laying the foundation for a cloud-native microservice architecture.
2.Fulfilled domestic innovation requirements, enabling independent innovation and ensuring information security.
3.Constructed a stable and mature core layer focused on account, product, pricing, and operations—designed to meet a wide range of industry demands with minimal need for frequent structural changes.
4.Developed a new accounting center to separate transaction and accounting processes, support asynchronous near-real-time accounting, and allow for dynamic adjustments to both accounting workflows and rules.
