Large Group Data Asset Management Project
The goal of this large group data asset management project was to build an enterprise-level data asset platform, conduct data governance, and centrally manage various data resources on the platform. The project aimed to enable real-time monitoring of data and business, establish an efficient decision-making and analysis platform, support group-level operations, enhance data sharing services, and build data applications based on a self-developed architecture to support internal and external data-driven innovations and aid the group’s digital transformation.

Business data is diverse, deeply integrated with business systems, and frequently changing, with a lack of standardized data sets.

The group has many daily operation data sources with long data linkages, requiring unified and efficient data decision support.

Business systems are complex, and data is not integrated or shared, with a lack of overall planning for data system construction and operation.

There are many data sources, and data extraction and cleansing are complex, with no comprehensive data architecture and processing models oriented toward business indicators.
Based on the client´s current situation and the industry experience accumulated from similar projects, we planned the overall data asset project. The platform consists of historical data storage, data integration platform, data application layer, data application portal, scheduling monitoring, and operations management. According to this plan, the data platform based on the data asset management platform will become the sole source and supplier of data for the group´s BI system.
Unified Monitoring and Analysis System:
Real-time monitoring of critical resources such as human resources, finance, supply chain, and key clients via digital systems like the shared service platform. Established a comprehensive risk prevention system to meet audit supervision and state-owned asset management reporting requirements. The system serves over 1,000 users, connecting more than 20 systems.
Unified Decision-Making System:
Established an operational monitoring command center and decision-making analysis platform to support the group's leadership and all levels of enterprises with decision-making and management needs. This system provides a full-chain processing of 5 key decision-making indicators and supports the creation of about 200 reports.
Unified Planning and Operation:
The operational monitoring center manages the group’s resources, with a unified plan and operations for various shared platforms (finance, HR, supply chain, and customers), offering overall technical maintenance, security, and knowledge-sharing services. Opened approximately 100 data interfaces, providing TB-level data services.
Unified Scheduling and Command for Operation and Maintenance:
The Operation and Monitoring Center organizes internal and external professional forces to collaborate on the construction of the five sharing platforms while serving the scheduling and command of major projects of the group company and improving the efficiency of project execution by unifying the supplier management, customer management and contract management. It shortens the completion time of key data calculations to the second level, supports 4 storage layers, 4 ETL processes, and the scheduling of 5 specialized modules.
