Shanghai–Hong Kong Collaboration Driving Innovation: GienTech Participates in the 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum
On April 27, the 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum – “New Space for Collaborative Innovation: Shanghai–Hong Kong Technology Innovation Dialogue”, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, was held in Hong Kong. The event focused on in-depth exchanges on science and technology innovation and future industrial development in Shanghai and Hong Kong, exploring ways to accelerate the formation of a Shanghai–Hong Kong innovation ecosystem and promote cooperation in scientific research, startup incubation, industrial development, and technology-enabled finance.
The event was attended by Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shanghai, and Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and Luo Dajin, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, delivered keynote speeches.

On the morning of April 27, Mr. Feng Minggang, Executive Vice President (Acting Head of Operations) of GienTech, attended the event and, on behalf of the company, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Generative AI Research with the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). GienTech also signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on AI Core Technologies for Financial Services with the University of Hong Kong–Standard Chartered FinTech Academy. Looking ahead, GienTech will continue to advance collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong in technology innovation and financial services, jointly exploring new frontiers in FinTech development.

During the Shanghai–Hong Kong Innovation Youth Roundtable, Ms. Sandy Zhu, General Manager of GienTech’s Hong Kong and Macau Business Division, shared insights on GienTech’s internationalization journey through integrated innovation.
